As part of Vivid Sydney 2026, step inside one of Sydney’s most treasured heritage landmarks for an experience never before offered to the public.

The Long Table Dinner at The Strand Arcade: NSW Icons of Land & Sea invites you into the arcade after hours for a highly exclusive culinary event presented by The Restaurant Pendolino.

Hosted by acclaimed chef, proprietor and cookbook author Nino Zoccali, the evening celebrates the provenance, craftsmanship and regional character of some of NSW’s finest producers, showcasing iconic premium local produce and world-class wine in a refined communal dining experience.

Guests will be served a bespoke menu featuring Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Sydney Royal Medal Winning Produce. Each dish has been carefully curated to highlight provenance, seasonality and the deep connection between land and sea.

Guided by MC Simon Marnie, this one-night-only Vivid Food event brings together beautifully curated food, exceptional wine and storytelling within the breath-taking surrounds of The Strand Arcade. It is a rare opportunity to dine behind closed doors in one of Sydney’s most iconic buildings as Vivid Sydney transforms the city beyond its doors.

about the chef

Nino Zoccali

Nino Zoccali is an acclaimed chef, restaurateur and cookbook author, and the creative force behind The Restaurant Pendolino - a Sydney dining landmark in The Strand Arcade since 2008. Known for his long-standing relationships with Australia’s finest producers, he is a respected national olive oil judge and passionate advocate for super-premium ingredients. His deep knowledge of Italian food and wine informs both his cuisine and his acclaimed contributions to leading food and wine publications.

 
 
 
 

about the MC

Simon Marnie

Simon Marnie is a respected Australian broadcaster and presenter with a long-standing career across radio and television. A graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, he began at Triple J before becoming widely known as the host of ABC Radio Sydney’s weekend morning program across New South Wales. He also conceived and produced SBS TV’s nomad and appears on ABC’s Escape from the City. Known for his warmth and engaging style, Simon brings an informed and personable presence to every event he hosts.
